Miriam Davidson has been photographing the Agricultural Fairs of Ontario for more than twenty years.  Her interest in the fairs began with her work at the Canadian National Exhibition, where she was an in-house event photographer.  From 1989-1999 she spent hot August days and warm summer nights roaming the CNE grounds with her camera in hand.  The years spent photographing the CNE introduced her to a vibrant network of agricultural fairs held each season across Ontario.

Miriam is currently professor of art education at Trent University and is working on a book about the CNE focusing on its transformation from a primary agricultural fair, with livestock shows aand auctions, to the current urban, multicultural fair that it is today.
